Hype activated.
GERRARD WANTS TO KEEP KENT
Steven Gerrard will make a personal plea to Liverpool to keep Ryan Kent next season but Rangers still fear he will be sold elsewhere in the summer with Fulham and Huddersfield both interested, according to The Sun.

Perhaps Gerrard can call on a favour from the Reds? He did them a few.
WERNER TO LEAVE RB LEIPZIG
Timo Werner has indicated he will not renew his contract with RB Leipzig, the Bundesliga club's CEO Oliver Mintzlaff has confirmed.
The Germany striker is out of contract at the end of next season and has been linked with several of Europe's top clubs.
Wenger joined Leipzig from Stuttgart in 2016 and has since scored 60 goals in 108 appearances.
Mintzlaff told Sky Germany: "We want to extend it with him, but he has signaled to us hat he would rather now extend."

The Belgian defender has recently signed a contract extension with the north London club, but only until 2020, and there's a catch...
As part of the contract, Spurs must accept a bid of £25m of more for the defender if it arrives during the 2019 summer transfer window and comes before its final two weeks, report Football.London.
UNITED QUOTED £110m FOR KOULIBALY
Manchester United will have to pay an eye-watering £110m if they want to sign Napoli centre-back Kalidou Kouibaly, according to the Sunday Express.
The defender is believed to be Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first-choice but with the Italian club under no pressure to sell, they are believed to be holding out for the £110m that is written into the 27-year-old's contract.
United are also interested in Rafael Varane at Real Madrid but the Spanish giants are equally determined to keep hold of the France international and will not sell him unless his £430m buyout clause is triggered.
SPURS TARGET BACK UP 'KEEPER
The Daily Mirrorreportsthat Tottenham are looking at Osijek goalkeeper Marko Malenica as a possible backup option if Hugo Lloris leaves the club this summer and Paulo Gazzaniga becomes No 1.

And who could be leaving Merseyside...?

EXTENSION FOR MATIP
Joel Matip has opened talks with Liverpool over a new contract, reports The Sun.
The Liverpool defender has become a first team regular alongside Virgil van Dijk this season as both Dejan Lovren and Joe Gomez suffered long-term injuries.

INTER IN FOR XHAKA?
The Sunday Express are reporting that Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has emerged as a surprise transfer target for Inter Milan.
Xhaka joined Arsenal for from Borussia Monchengladbach three years ago but Arsenal boss Unai Emery has been told he will have to offload some players if he wants to boost his £45m transfer budget.
This comes after Xhaka recently hinted he may be ready to move on from the Emirates.
“I’m very ambitious,” Xhaka said. “I want to take the next step. Arsenal does not have to be the last stop.”
BATSHUAYI BACK TO DORTMUND?
Michy Batshuayi could return to Borussia Dortmund this summer if the Bundesliga side are willing to match Chelsea's £40m valuation, the Sunday Express are reporting.
The Belgium international is currently on loan at Crystal Palace and has also attracted interest from Everton but could head back to Dortmund, where he enjoyed a successful loan spell last season if the price is right.
However, if Chelsea's one-year transfer ban is upheld then the striker may be forced to stay at Stamford Bridge.
'ERIKSEN A PRIORITY FOR MAN UTD'
Christian Eriksen is a "high priority" transfer target for Manchester United this summer, according to the Sunday Mirror.
They report that United are willing to treble the Tottenham playmaker's wages to £240k-a-week to bring him to Old Trafford.

MERSE: GOMES IS A TOTTENHAM PLAYER
Paul Merson has been talking up the performances of late from Andre Gomes, believing the midfielder will be highly sought-after this summer, when his loan at Everton comes to an end.
He told Soccer Saturday: "They've been a completely different team to the one from the previous six or seven weeks.
"Andre Gomes has been at the centre of it. I know Tottenham have been linked with him, and he's a Tottenham player. He's not someone who you would build your team around though as he doesn't finish games, but I think there will be a lot of teams after him."
GENESIO TO LEAVE LYON
Lyon coach Bruno Genesio said on Saturday he will leave the club at the end of the season.
Genesio, who was appointed in December 2015, was set to extend his contract for two years after reportedly reaching a deal with president Jean-Michel Aulas.
But Lyon have lost their last three games, with a 2-1 loss at Nantes in the French league on Friday following a 3-1 home loss to Dijon.
"For some time I have faced a negative climate, which can be a drag on the players and the club," said Genesio, who has been criticised by fans throughout the season. "I informed my players this morning (and now) I'm counting on everyone to (support) the team."
MANE TO MADRID?
Real Madrid would like to sign Liverpool forward Sadio Mane this summer, reports El Confidential.

BARCA TO RETURN FOR WILLIAN
Barcelona will revive their interest in Chelsea winger Willian, according to the Daily Telegraph.
The La Liga leaders had a bid for Willian rejected last summer but, with the Brazilian’s contract due to expire at the end of next season, they may lodge another bid at a lower price.
Barca’s pursuit may be hampered by Chelsea’s FIFA-imposed transfer ban, though, with the Blues unable to sign a replacement for if Willian leaves.
EMERY SEEKS N’ZONZI REUNION

RASHFORD, GRIEZMANN BACK ON BARCA RADAR
Barcelona have shelved their bid to sign Frankfurt striker Luka Jovic and reignited their interest in Marcus Rashford and Antoine Griezmann, reports Marca.
Barca are reluctant to get into a bidding with Real Madrid and Bayern Munich for 21-year-old Jovic and have begun considering alternatives.
Manchester United striker Rashford and Atletico Madrid star Griezmann are on the La Liga club’s radar, as are Valencia Rodrigo Moreno and Lille forward Nicolas Pepe.
SPURS SET SIGHTS ON GOMES
Tottenham have earmarked a £30m deal to sign on-loan Everton midfielder Andre Gomes this summer, reports the Daily Telegraph.
The Portugal international has impressed while on loan at Goodison Park from Barcelona.
Mauricio Pochettino has admired the midfielder for some time but his adaptation to the Premier League has convinced the Spurs boss to make his move once Gomes’ loan at Everton ends at the end of the season.
CHERRIES TO CASH IN?
Bournemouth are mulling over whether to cash in on forward Ryan Fraser this summer instead of losing him for nothing next year, reports the Daily Mirror.
The Scotland international is understood to want to play for a top six club and has been linked with a move to Arsenal.
With Fraser’s contact at the Vitality Stadium set to expire at the end of next season, the Cherries face a decision whether to cash in or risk losing the 25-year-old for nothing.
VALENCIA TO LEAVE UNITED
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer have revealed Manchester United will appoint a new captain next season after Antonio Valencia leaves the club.
Ecuador international Valencia, United’s first non-European captain, moved to Old Trafford from Wigan in 2009 and is the club’s current longest serving player.
Quizzed on the United captaincy role, Solskjaer said: “I’ve got a couple of players in my head that could be in the group of captaincy.
“We’ve had Antonio [Valencia], he’s going. We’ve had David de Gea, Ashley Young, Paul Pogba, Chris Smalling. We will see who’s here for next season.”
CHELSEA HOPE PULISIC WILL BOOST US FANS
Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck said he expects Christian Pulisic’s arrival at Stamford Bridge to boost the club’s profile in the United States.
The 20-year-old American signed for the Blues for £57.6m in January, but was immediately loaned back to Borussia Dortmund for the remainder of this season.
"He's a personable boy. He's well-liked in this country," Buck told Associated Press.

Rafael Benitez says Newcastle have huge potential as a club, but they need to be 'more competitive' in the transfer window.
"We have to have a team who can compete," Benitez told Sky Sports. "This city, the club has potential. It's massive. I'm not looking to spend £200m but doing the right things.
"We have to be more competitive in the window, we have to do things in the right way and then you have massive, massive potential in Newcastle."
SOLSKJAER: POGBA FOCUSED ON UNITED
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has rejected suggestions Paul Pogba’s performance levels for Manchester United have dipped amid reported interest from Real Madrid.
"In my talks with Paul he has always been positive here and I don't see a difference in him when I chat to him,” Solskjaer said.
“I thought Paul made us play [against Barcelona]. He settled us down a bit, in the first half especially.
“We just fell away towards the end but the effort he put in physically was just tremendous, he had his highest-ever output physically.
“So he has never run as much in a Manchester United shirt. That was brilliant the way the effort and attitude is there."

WOULD YOU TAKE HIM?
REAL TO SELL BALE?
Real Madrid will start negotiations for Gareth Bale at £112m this summer, reports AS.
Madrid will likely have to accept a lower figure given the Welshman's current £10m-a-year contract after tax.
The Daily Mail are reporting that Bale will become part of a mass summer overhaul at Real Madrid this summer, which will see £430m worth of star names leave.
CASEMIRO: POGBA WELCOME AT REAL
Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro says Paul Pogba would be "very welcome" there if the Manchester United midfielder were to join the Spanish giants.
Last month Pogba said that playing for Real under Zinedine Zidane would be a "dream for anyone", sparking fresh speculation over his future.
Casemiro believes the French World Cup winner is capable of playing in any team but insisted he would be happy to see him move to the Bernabeu.
"A player of his level is compatible with any player in the world. We know he is a great player, but we cannot talk about a player who is not here with the team," Casemiro said.
"We know that if he comes to Madrid he will be very welcome because we know he is a great player.
"He has another very important match in the Champions [League] and he is thinking about that game. He is a great person and we have to respect him and respect Manchester [United]."
SHERWOOD TO HAVE QPR TALKS
Tim Sherwood is expected to hold talks with QPR next week over the vacant manager’s position, Sky Sports News understands.
The ex-Tottenham and Aston Villa boss remains the first choice of Rangers’ sporting director Les Ferdinand, who played with and worked with him at Spurs.
Michael Appleton and Mark Warburton are also understood to remain high in the running as candidates to take over from the sacked Steve McClaren at Loftus Road.
The West London club have spoken to a number of others to have shown interest in the role, including former midfielder Marc Bircham, Nigel Pearson, Darren Moore and Steve Cotterill.
Former Derby and Stoke boss Gary Rowett, who had also been initially identified as a top candidate, is no longer believed to be in contention.
Rangers are understood to be looking for someone to develop younger players, with their Championship playing budget set to be slashed to around £11m from £25m next season.
DYCHE TO MAKE CROUCH CALL
Sean Dyche must weigh up whether to offer Peter Crouch a contract extension after admitting the striker's season could be over.
Crouch has made five substitute appearances for Burnley since joining from Stoke in January, but an untimely bout of appendicitis means he may not appear again before his short-term deal expires.
The 38-year-old is yet to score for the Clarets but Dyche has been impressed with his contribution on and off the pitch.
The Burnley boss said: "He was getting his teeth really into it and I thought he was coming on and being very effective in games. It's a real blow for him. But we'll worry about all the rest of it as time goes by.
"He's certainly done enough to be in our thinking of what he can do. The biggest thing for me is the desire, the edge that players play with, and he's certainly shown that.
"You can see he's got the competitive edge it takes to stay at the top level. I think he'll be pleased with his fleeting moments and how he's been around the group, because we take value in that as well."
HAZARD: CHO CHELSEA'S FUTURE
Eden Hazard believes Callum Hudson-Odoi is “the future of Chelsea” and that he is already playing like an experienced winger.

Toni Kroos wants to leave Real Madrid this summer and has informed the La Liga club, according to AS.
The Germany international has previously been a Manchester United transfer target and has also been linked with Paris Saint-Germain.
WARNOCK HOPING FOR CARDIFF STAY
Neil Warnock says he would like to stay at Cardiff next season and remain loyal to the supporters.
He said in his pre-match press conference: "I just feel as long as Vincent (Cardiff owner Vincent Tan) wants me to stay, no matter what division we are in, I think I owe it to the fans to stay.
"I changed my mind in the last couple of months with the Emiliano (Sala) tragedy. It brought a lot home. In the cold light of day, I don't see anyone better to take over at this moment in time.
"Whereas if I can steady the ship next season, I will be in my final year at Christmas time, then I can help the club pick another manager.
"That's what I would like to do, because the fans have been so good to me. I wouldn't like to leave them in the lurch."

OLE: HERRERA TALKS ONGOING
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been fielding questions in the last few moments about Ander Herrera's future at the club.
“He has been working really hard to get fit from his injury, which he sustained against Liverpool,” Solskjaer said.
“Then he came back and he got a different injury in training. He has been really putting a lot of work in.
“Unfortunately that has come at a time when there are contract talks but that is ongoing so I cannot really comment too much on how far they have come down the line and what he is deciding.”
Asked if he is hopeful Herrera will stay, Solskjaer replied: “You have to ask him. I don’t know how the last few talks have been.
“We have let him focus on his fitness as well because he loves to play and he is not very happy when he cannot help his team-mates. He has always given his all. It does not matter if he has got five years left of his contract or five weeks.”
BREAKING NEWS
Southampton confirm departure of chairman Ralph Krueger.
Krueger departs after holding talks with shareholders Mr Gao and Katharina Liebherr and it was agreed that his contract would not be extended beyond its end date of June 30.
HAZARD HAPPY ZIDANE IS BACK
Eden Hazard says he is pleased Zinedine Zidane has returned to management.
In an interview with RMC, he said: "I'm not a Real Madrid player but as a Zidane supporter, I'm very happy he came back because football needs Zidane.
"For Real and their supporters, it's good, for other teams, a bit less because Real Madrid with Zinedine Zidane win a lot."
The Chelsea star, meanwhile, refused to discuss reports that he is a Real Madrid transfer target.
"My future is not something that I want to talk about right now. There are rumours left and right but for me, I have another month with Chelsea.
